DESCRIPTION:***Fully Booked*** \nA Conference of Nature Connections\n  \nRooted & Growing is a community gathering to showcase nature-based interventions within the West and North West of Ireland. It will provide a forum to discuss an emerging vision of nature connections to support health and social care outcomes. \nRooted & Growing has been created by a small group of psychologists\, community workers\, researchers and artists that are passionate about the role of nature connections in their work and personal life. \nThis gathering is committed to highlighting the research base and clinical experiences of positive biopsychosocial outcomes for nature-based interventions. It aims to build a network to support the further development of nature connection projects for all in community\, including those living within health and social care settings. \nRooted & Growing will feature talks from leading academics from Maynooth University\, along with psychologists and community workers in the West and Northwest\, who all promote nature connections within their work. There will be opportunities to experience workshops giving practical examples of how nature can be incorporated into clinical practice. A number of these workshops will be hosted by people with lived experience of participating in nature-based interventions. \nRooted & Growing is perfect for professionals working in health and social care settings and policy makers\, who may already be connected to nature in their work or simply nature-curious. This conference has a collaborative and experiential focus\, creating a space for discussion and development of community nature connecting in Ireland. \nThis non-profit event will take place on 29th and 30th July 2026 in Strokestown Park\, County Roscommon. The full Conference programme\, along with workshop choices\, will be available soon. All conference attendees will be notified of the final programme and workshop choices via their email provided.

DESCRIPTION:  \nJoin Dr. Marianne Fallon for a morning workshop to pause and reflect on all that has grown and flourished in your life since Imbolc. \nThrough a blend of mindful movement\, gentle yoga\, breathwork\, and deep relaxation\, we will explore the theme of harvest\, a space to honour your achievements\, the lessons you’ve gained\, and the abundance already present in your life. \nGuided by nature-inspired imagery cards\, we will explore what is needed as the year shifts toward Samhain\, a time for deep rest and withdrawal. \nDrawing from the late summer season\, this practice encourages grounding\, gratitude\, and a deeper connection to nature’s rhythms and your own. As we align with the late summer season\, we will focus on stimulating the Stomach and Spleen meridians\, which are associated with the Earth element and support grounding\, nourishment\, and digestion. \nAbout Dr. Marianne Fallon  \n \nDr. Marianne Fallon is a Chartered Psychologist and qualified Functional Yoga facilitator\, with a particular interest in supporting accessible yoga for people of all ages\, bodies and abilities. \nYou can learn more about Marianne here www.loricaconsulting.ie \nBefore You Join  \nThis workshop is suitable for all levels of experience. A mobility level of being able to sit down on the ground and get up again independently is required to be able to participate in the workshop.  \nThe Workshop may be held outdoors if weather permits. Should the weather be inclement\, the workshop will be held in the beautiful upstairs space in the Woodland Cafe. \nIt will run from 10am-1pm on Saturday 29th August 2026. \nPlease bring: \nYoga Mat plus two blankets. \nComfortable clothing\, sunscreen\, water\, pen and paper for journaling\, sunhat (if needed). \nMarianne will be in touch with you before the workshop to finalise details and to enquire about any health / mobility issues you may have (all information is kept strictly confidential).
