Entry Prices

You can choose to buy an entrance ticket to either the National Famine Museum (self-guided tour) and/or Strokestown Park House (guided tour). All tickets include access to our gardens and woodlands.

No pre-booking is required for the Museum but it is advisable to book a House Tour.
Members of the Irish Heritage Trust get free access.

Combination Ticket

A self-guided visit to the National Famine Museum, and the Victorian Walled Gardens, and access to the Woodland Walk.

Full Ticket

A guided tour of Strokestown Park House, a self-guided visit to the National Famine Museum and the Victorian Walled Garden, and access to the Woodland Walk.

My wife and I really enjoyed our visit to the house and gardens. We thought it represented good value and was a really interesting day. Niall was an excellent tour guide with insightful and occasionally amusing descriptions of the old house and the original artefacts it contained.

Well Worth a Visit
We visited the museum first which helped me better understand the history and complexities of the famine. The tour of the house built in the 1840s was like stepping back in time to get a feel for how the upper class lived. If you like history you will enjoy the visit.

Excellent Attraction
We visited here recently and it is a really excellent attraction. The gardens are lovely and the famine museum well-researched and detailed. The house tour was great – Aidan the guide was very friendly and knowledgeable – allow yourself enough time to enjoy everything. The cafe is also worth a visit – fabulous cakes and desserts.
