Festive Tour of Strokestown Park House

Step into the magic of Christmas past with a festive tour of Strokestown Park House.

Be welcomed as a guest by lady of the house, Mrs. Henrietta Mahon, and discover the charm of her magnificent Palladian mansion home.

Hear how the family once celebrated Christmas — from sumptuous dinners in the grand dining room to cosy gatherings in the elegant library, as well as the many Christmas stories that have unfolded at Strokestown Park during its 300-hundred-year history.

You’ll also learn about the Victorian traditions that shaped Christmas celebrations at Strokestown Park in the late 1800s — customs that continue to inspire today’s beloved Victorian Christmas Experience at Strokestown Park.

Visitors will enjoy a glass of Mulled Wine & Mince Pie on arrival, served in our Galleried Kitchen.
