Harnessing The River at Strokestown Park – Heritage week

A screening of the film ‘Harnessing The River at Strokestown Park’ followed by a guided walk to discover how water was harnessed for use in the early days of Strokestown Park House.
From generating electricity and clearing unwanted household waste to making Ice. Hear about the tunnels underneath the lawns and the early 1900s hydro turbine.
Two tours are available one at 11 am and the second at 3 pm
