As part of the Irish Famine Summer School 2025, the National Famine Museum | Strokestown Park, co funded by the Roscommon County Council Creative Ireland Programme and the Irish Language Office is proud to present ‘In Solidarity’, a series of performances by Palestinian and Irish artists set against the back drop of the Irish National Famine Museum.
‘In Solidarity’ will highlight the deep solidarity of Ireland with Palestine, rooted in our shared experience of colonial oppression and how artistic expression is one of the foremost tools used in the communication of identity, thoughts and emotions.
The audience for this event will be guided through the National Famine Museum where they will experience intimate performances and collaborations between the following performers.

We are delighted also to have Dr. Eamonn Mc Kee, Chief of Protocol with the Department of Foreign Affairs, speak at this event. Dr. Mc Kee has been a key figure in international diplomacy and conflict resolution for nearly 40 years.
