Strokestown TradFest 2026 Official Opening & Concert
October 9 @ 18:30 - 21:00
You’re invited to the Official Opening of Strokestown TradFest 2026!
Attracta Brady, Comhaltas President will officially open the festival on Friday, 9th October in the beautiful Vaulted Stables, Strokestown Park.
The evening will begin with a Drinks Reception, followed by the official opening and a very special performance from The O’Carolan Trio (Mossie Martin, Ellen Godley & Fiachra Guihen) celebrating the music and story of legendary Irish composer and harper Turlough O’Carolan (1670–1738).
With strong Roscommon connections, the trio will combine live music, storytelling and historical context, exploring O’Carolan’s life and music, as well as the fascinating European influences on Irish music. The evening may also feature selected recordings to illustrate some of these musical connections.
Expect a wonderful journey through music, history and culture, featuring Harp, Fiddle, Cello, Flute, Whistle & Concertina.
